After a good skill trip, the best thing to do is exploring new possibilites.
And this time, it was great : Sven Bohikus a mighty skillaz, offered to host a KQ trip.
Romu went in very high exitation. The safer skiller, facing Kalphite Queen : wow.
And big advantage of being a skillaz : teaming with very high players.
Even with slayer training, romu, at 104 cmb is still a child in the team when it is time to be a warrior. But he hates failing. So he used most of his time to study KQ slaying and bought the usefull verrac set. Being able to spend 3M gp in an armour set is the reward of those hours in skilling.
After completing Fishing trip, romu wisely spent time in preparation at trawler.
He knew the team would do some trips to KQ but they wouldn't spend an entire day on it. As the Bug Queen hit very high, romu the cook master prepared bags of mantas, tortles and sharks. High food to survive to high hits.
Then came The time. Romu was prepared and survived to the 10 kills (in 5 trips).
But survived doesn't mean had no fear. KQ often let Romu at about 10hp. The mighty team and the high food saved him each time.

After the team splitted, romu was so exited that he couldn't enter his next goal. He was in a killing fever... and slayed for a couple of days.
Being solid = facing solid monsters
Romu did many treasure trails and got many rune armour parts... and rune kites were missing it to be complete and valuable. Romu checked knowledge base and studied the Ice Trolls. Last time romu met them, it was for a scout to runite rock on Neitiznot. Scouting there was dangerous. Moms ranged him almost to death. Covered with his own blood, Romu lurked to the bank. His rune armour was good to be smithed again as he reached at the bank booth with 1 HP left. Romu had still it in memory when he went back to this runite rock.
Of course romu was now a Solid skillaz and didn't made the same error : he knew where he went and was equiped to face the Moms' rocks. After a Runite test, he decided to get his revenge. Romu's memory had to be cleaned.
He took the bot to jatizio and equiped himself as a crossbow ranger with granite shield. Romu started with a Troll runt and got 2 kites in row. After a couple of hours there he left votorious with 6 kites. The Ice Troll fear had disapeared in their blood. Romu had got his revenge in a barbarian kill over entire Ice Troll familllies.
Back to next goal : Lumber accademy
Romu was now calm enough to go on next goal : 80->85 woodcutting. Romu went back to barbarians' outpost with D Axe and rabbit foot amulet and started chopping the willows there. 14 days have passed and Romu has reach this 85 level, time for him to put his axe back in back for a moment.
Master Duradel is my friend
With his woodcutter strong arms, Romu felt in good mood to go challenge monsters.
Romu worn his Shilo gloves and teled to the gem mine. Outside, it was still the same hot tropical weather and the village was calm. Few fisher were here, Romu greeted them and walked over the river to visit Slayer Master Duradel. They talked about the growing amount of kill to be done along the missions and Duradel explained it simply :
- Romu, you are getting stronger and faster. You can't fight anymore like a young guy. The more we work together, the more it will be hard. Its up to you to continue...
Romu recieved 170 Fire giants to kill. Duradel was right. Romu recieved 2 levels (HP and Strength) during the mission. And, as a reward, he got chance in drops : 3 rune scimicars, 1 rune 2 handed sword, 1 half of a key, 100 rune arrows and many runes.
Next mission : 150 Black demons. That was one more lesson to learn from Duradel : - Get rid of your fear. Last time you fought them, they almost killed you. You have been warned and lucky not to loose your equipment (guthan and dragon set). At least you should have understood the way to own them. That is slayer : Know your ennemies !
Those Black demons are strong and can hit hard. Melee Prayer protection is the way Romu decided to use. But, after some kills in top prayer bonus equipment, he found he also had to get some combat bonus to do it faster.
Grand Exchange : All is now to be learned again.
Romu never had good feeling in trades. If some people are merchant in their blood, Romu don't. Since a long time now, he learned where to buy and to sell and used the average prices. A Brand new building has been implemented in Varrock : Grand Exchange. This building is a trade market that should have saved romu's traders life...
After some long tests, Romu got finally rid of junk items at very low prices. It was better than a used bank space for nothing. Being able to 'Set' his armours offered a nice way to save some more bank space. That was great !
But, As Romu decided to sell some goods, what a deception on prices ! Every items he could offer had droped in value. If some of the items he used to buy also droped, many of raws went too high to keep making money and skilling using them.
Romu decided to stay away from trading a moment, to make himself wise enough on new prices and possibilities and to rebuild his ways to get money and experience...
It was time to learn again... and to adapt.
Firemaking week : a slice of pyromania
With Skillaz Firemaking week, romu cought the opportunity to stress his goal. Five days shared beween shilo and Grand Exchange building were enough to make him get this 87th level in firemaking. Romu used his midcellania 'free' maples pyed through flax+mapple collecting.
When Grand Exchange can join skilling : Romu000 at business
Reaching his main goal in mind : romu decided to try to get out of his self-sufficient way of skilling. This meant to using money on raw materials, use his skill for making some goods and sell for money back at least.
At first step, Romu made the list of the items he's used to buy and sell and checked Grand Exchange prices. Wow, things have changed a lot. New roads have to be taken.
The purpose was to get a quick-made level in herblore.
Romu tryed to sell few potions to check if selling was easy and wow again. If some of his previous trades were very long (or impossible)... some are very fast. Prayer potions went away at max price before he closed the window. Yes, he knew this was low price regarding street price and thought some merchant were doing their job on transfering GE pots to W2 or forums for profit. Everyone choose his way to play.
With surch easy sell, romu calculated he could go for those potions. That was a non-loose of money if he didn't coun't the vial/seconds but also a rapid xp.
Buying herbs was also very fast. That let romu time to gather seconds and vials.
Making pots and assembling them in 4 doses took a few more hours. And he put potions back in GE. Suddenly he realized he made a big mistake in his math.

Potion(4) Price >= 1.33 Herb Price
Romu planed on 1 for 1. [i]"Good job Man, you wont get a merchanting level today !"[/i]
Anyway, he got money back in selling a part of farmed potion stock. The profit he made allowed him to balance his stock, keeping some prayer potion for further use.
In one evening Romu gathered vials and seconds, bough herbs, made pots, sold pots and got this level.
72 herblore = ability to make easy-sold range potions. Time has come to use all those banked Dwarf weeds and gather wines of Zamorac. Next level will come soon for more profit. The perm range potions buyer he found ealier will be pleased to see how fast Romu was on this task.
Without GE it would have taken few weeks of boring fighting/farming. GE allowed it in only one usual evening.
After some more maths, romu finally found some GE uses for balanced cost skilling. He went to sleep happy. Fast trades, using skills for xp and getting money back is enough. Thanks GE to have mades trades so fast. Maybe next step of will be to find how to make profits...
... Morning have come and romu is still thinking about it. What is is now ?
Take a transformation skill (cooking, crafting, fletching, crafting, smithing, herblore and runecrafting) and check raw/transformed item prices. See also your stock from extraction skills.
Make few goods and try to sell in order to find the best price/selling time.
Buy some few row for same purpose (best price/buying time).
Now, if seconds are needed, check their prices/time for gathering.
Compare prices and balance all this with your hourly gp making rate (the amount of cash you can make in one hour) witch is about 200k in rcing for Romu atm (more with hunt but the crowd makes it more boring than pkers).
Now it will be easy to take every item you can make - with a preference for those that sell fast- and go !
Buy raws - Skill them - Sell goods. And be very carefull : use small amount as price can (and will) vary before you sell. Spending a few days cheking a list of prices is a good idea to see what is current price evolution. Trading world (with high/low prices) is a nice complement to increase profit but way more hasardous.
With updated price list and wise use (have to work on it), GE is making trades very fast. No more worry about hiring workers, finding merchants... and scams.

Death of the cheats and the end of the Solid age
Few days have passed since Romu started to use GE and his is a bit confused in the way he could continue skilling. Gathering raw materials is a good thing to do when you are confused. You continue skiling and can think about what next.
Suddenly, on December 10th, 2007 a huge earthquake occured on Gielinor. Wise man observed it was mesured 9.9 on [URL=http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Richter_scale][u]Richter scale[/u][/URL].
The chaos was everywhere.
Wilderness player killing have been removed from the place. Two new zones raised from the seism : Bounty hunter and Clan wars. both were the only areas where player could still kill each other. The Wilderness crack have realeased God War remains : the revenant beats. Those monsters hunt the players who venture this region. Their power is huge and they can put 100+ combat player into bone pile.
The earthquake have been so huge that even comon life have been altered.
Death and the item loss it occured have been replaced by temporal gravestone. The better it is, the longer is last, leaving you the necessary time to get your items back.
Trades have been limited and indexed on GE to stop unbalance ones.
The earthquake and its consequences trepassed a noticable part of gielinor population. Bots and RWT players were rubbed out the Gielinor surface. Pures who were player slaying in Wilderness where mostly devoured. And in the few hours after, the scourge went on a big part of the remaining population.
Romu was one of the people who were skilling away from epicenter. He was hurt as every survivors but alive ! After the deafening destuction, he was laying on the ground in the Ogre Enclave. Ogre Shamans relayed on his chevet for laid two days. Their powerfull magic brought him back to life. After he thanked Ogres, Romu looked for friends to help... Some had died, many where standing confused near the bankboothes and few were continuing what they were doing. Romu buried his died friends and tryied to wake confused ones for a moment.
Gielinor face was changed in deep. After surch huge cataclisms, life restarts slowly and flowers are back on devastated areas. And it was like if time had came back.
The population loss occured no more competition on ressources extraction. Now it was possible again to see survivor players over 3 combat level mining pure essences or chopping trees.
Romu remembered how wlose he was to his goal and went back skilling.
He ranged few deserted blue dragons and got both range and prayer levels. He made few plank and got a constuction level.
This one achieved the Solid Age of Romu000 with a 1900 overall.
