After what romu though was a strong preparation to be f2p again, here come the desillusion.
Romu had bough his 99 fm ans started doing good in Falador.
If Grand Exchange is told to be the best spot for firemaking, romu prefer Falador by far.
Less people, less random... this place is good with 4 lines ending right arround the bank entrance.
But, when everything is ok, romu makes mistakes !
As he was asked to buy some logs, he wanted to show off his stock and unbankeds 'all but one' his noted logs... then withdrawed the las log instead of doing the opposite (banking all logs). And the maple road to 99 firemaking stoped. After some though, romu sold the maples and bough willows...
Then after some time spent in Fist of guthix for a change... romu ooops dit it again !
He withrawed all willow logs and noted was 'on'... again ! That was the end of Romu's try to 99 that skill in the f2p time.
Then he went to cut yews. After some long time spent on it, he found almost the fastest way to go... and now skip to it.
Romu is still f2p for a while. He's happy after his application to The Others has been accepted !
Back with old friends into a huge skilling clan !

Getting ultimated gear before F2P...
In that middle of summer Romu000 finally reached a couple of good goals.
First is to have 1Mxp in every skills (Level 73+). And second is to have completed the ultimate armour with the mighty dragonfire shield.
90 attack and defence, 96 strength, fury, trimed skill cape, dragon boots, Bandos armour and dragonfire shield makes romu000 a mellee fortress.
I got the money from my cobra egging activity, air battlestaves crafting and most of my banked coal.
So, now i have almost the best set available, why not to go and see the use ?
A try at some low monster was funny : i was fast insulted at yacks by other player, even if it was fast xp for me too.
Next, those green dragons in Chaos tunnels. Luring the black baby dragon is not that hard and the green don't hit much. unpoted, i used 2 monkfish per load of bones/hides. I will have to consider that way to get the 45k missing dragon bones for a prayer cape.
Then, doing some more slayer... DFS is a strong plus in combat : defence and strength !
All was goin well until i start being a *****.
I got an iron dragon task. First attempt : forgot dds. Second attemps, after some weapon switching came an alchable drop (rune mace)... i clic the highalch spell and missed the mace. OMG : i alched my whip. I loved it. That the weapon but especially THAT whip. Since i bought it i never died or lost it... until my fingers went wrong.
You'd say, it's ok but, it's only a start.
later, when i visit Duradel for a mission, i want to see my slayer points (for that mask)... and i click on the text about the ring reward... OMG i wasted 50 points for a ring i don't really care.
Even later i got a 70+ steel dragon task. With the summoning, the visage drop and the new slayer task distribution, the 4 steel dragon per world are under high presure. after trying like 25 worlds, i couldn't get any for myself. So i decided to waste another 100 slayer points to ban those task.
Then, after all those bad thing, all came better. Duradel, as a comprehensive skill master gave me mithril dragons for one task on two... A very fast way to get points back.
My first attempt at mithril Dragons was what i expected : stress and fun. Being well prepared (ruby/diamond bolts and melee protect), i managed 3 kills on first try... up to 6 in my last one.
Now i consider keeping my rubies and diamonds for fletching more bolts for that use.
Romu (irl) is about to be away for a couple of weeks. On top of this internet connexion need an upgrade and that can take several weeks under a possible cut. Two good reasons to stop membership for that period. Skilling will continue with banked maples for a firemaking cape and a prepared bank for few other activities (mining, fishing, woodcutting and FOG).

Calm in busy July
Well, Here comes July and Romu000 has finally set his sills over 70... and Even 1M xp each (have materials for Construction).
The summoning trip with cobras was great. I'm still half way to get the money back witk 5k eggs to make. Jagex, with Bank updated, did manipulate some prices and scared me. Cockatrice eggs crashed from 760 to 655 in a second. It stopped my egging and firemaking activity for some more slayer. Yes, i still can't make new mask. When it went out, i left slayer since spots where crowded.
Now slayer is more calm... so calm i managed new monsters with succes : Skeletal wyven without prayer (after agressive time), Warped terrorbirds, and goraks...
So calm that i did the worse thing ever : alching my whip !

I've set my goal to get enough cash along my skilling for a dragonfire shield. Even if i could get it now, i don't want to sell my coal mountain...

Road to Abyssal Demons
Romu000 was a pacific player with poor combat stats. And that huge armour he bought changed it a little bit.
83 Slayer is good to make money quite fast at Spiritual Mages. But it is poor xp.
So, he continued on slaying with Duradel.
Shilo's slayer master gives nice tasks with lvl3 clue droppers. Meleeing most of the time, Bandos set + guthan + Saradomin sword made it goo work very often. Romu000 also did about a clue per day... and nice drop came in again : Top Hat.
This is one of the rarest new rewards. Romu decided to sell it into GE. It was a nice 3.7M gp fast done. Then he decided to invest it into player.
With few extra cash invested Romu000 became part of the 80+ prayer and reached 120+ cmb.
80 prayer makes a strong difference since you get more prayer points when you slip a restore prayer potion. This is a fast rewarded investment since you can stay in combat really longer.
After a good bunch of mission Romu000 finaly reached 85 slayer in the first days of June. But it wasn't as good as he though. After some hours spent on abys, still no whip came and worse : he saw he had enough charms to go for 68 Summoning... but not the cash. Some visit to spiritual mages helped... now it was time to do the 63-68 summoning :
Used the piscatoris Bank/Obelisk + Terrorbird Bob
- spent all gold charms on spiritual terrorbirds making pouches + 130 scrolls per trip
- spent some green charms on Ibis for later fish and also because of the 'easy to get' harpoons at piscarotys bank/store
- went outside Rhum Deal mini game to hunt some snake hides at the few snakes there. He knew there were snakes giving hides there but those are not near horrors to protect them. He spent those hides to make some spirit cobras.
All this pushed Him to 67 with no more gold charms. What to do for next ? Tortoise : too much gold charms required. More cobras, for what use ? Maybe spen few blues (68) on those mithril minautor...
- Making those few bars were fast and the goal was reached : 68 Summoning and acces to bunyip familiar.
Those 3 goals (80 prayer-85 slayer and 68 summoning) are good complements.
More prayer points from the same amount of potions makes you stay longer in fight.
Bunyip regular heal added with good defence armour allow you to stay more longer. You can switch spared food inventory place to bring more potions.
85 Slayer and the abyssal demons whips is a good reward.
At the same time Smoking kills quest was released and it changed the way people would do slayer. Add the great rewards and the lack of pvp games : everybody rushed in slayer and the competition on some monsters was back.
Even if attracted by the slayer mask, romu000 is more and more decided not to follow the crowd of stressed and often rough player. Maybe a good time to go back to agility of gathering skills...
Solers, the clan Romu000 joined also disbanded in the mid June. It is a sad new but the reasons are the same : leading a clan is too many work for the poor reward that members can show.
This time, there is no question : Romu000 won't lead any team even if a friend asked him to...
He keep in touch with many old solers and friends to do some boss hunting here and there.

May : now serious things can start
End April and May have been good.
I stopped caping agility in mid way (92) to go slay to 83 or maybe 85.
I continued daily tasks and finally started slaying good money makers.
Reaching 83 slayer helped a lot to go see what spiritual mages were. First 2 attempts gave me 10 pairs of dragon boots, not bad at all ! Aviansies also became part of my fighting pets.
All those kills, added to some skilling incomes drove me back in the 20Mgp.
What to do then with that money ? Pay for prayer levels ? invest in some skilling ressources ?
I thought about it for few day when Narth Calior told me : change your full Dragon for Full bandos.
I looked in GE for prices and finally saw he was right. Romu000 made himself a gift : simply the best possible defense armour. No regrets ! It is awesome and save good amount of food or guthan use.
Regarding the skills, i finally balanced my mining/smithing (86 both) but nowadays, smithing is not the money maker it was. I still break event using MTK cheap coal and making adamantite bolts using blast furnace. This is quite slow but have the good thing no to have an alching part.
GE market for addy bolts is fast...
I got a nice overall push with Summoning the charms i get from slayer trips.
My 87 crafting is still slowly but regulary growing with daily battle staves.
Well, i'll continue day tasks and slayer in the next day to get some cash back... goal is to get usefull 85 and more money maker beasts to fight.
